BVB: Sonyverse Venom vs DCEU Black Adam

Imagine being created as the exact opposite of someone, their perfect rival. Then finally getting to star in a film adaptation of your story, it’s even supposed to be a major player in a cinematic universe. A little catch though, you never get to face that character you were specifically created to face off with (and in one of these cases you aren’t (for the most part) legally allowed to mention or show them). This is the situation these anti-heros face on a meta level, and their only connection because there’s not much common ground between Tom Hardy and his black goop alien friend played by Tom Hardy and a bald lightning guy played by bald wrestling guy Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson

Before we begin

What are we including?

Venom will get the two Venom movies (Venom (2018) and Venom: Let there be Carnage) and the music video for “Venom” by Eminem

Black Adam will get Black Adam the movie (2022)

Why is it no longer a DB predictions blog?

Background

Venom

“Venom venom venom”

Eddie Brock was a successful reporter with his own bigtime show and a loving relationship with Anne, his lawyer fiance. Then a spaceship from the life foundation that was carrying unknown lifeforms called symbiotes crashed in Malaysia. This would change so many lives you have no idea, in the sense everyone on that ship would die due to said crash. To deal with the PR disaster the CEO of life foundation (Carltron Drake) scheduled an interview with Eddie in hopes of painting his shady at best company in a positive light, and to help with the wrongful death lawsuit Drake went to the firm Anne worked at and worked with Anne. All the while Drake was experimenting with the symbiotes

One night Eddie woke up in the middle of the night to go and drink orange juice like a fucking maniac. Oh he also found that Anne was recently emailed a very confidential document from life foundation, and he then proceeds to use information from said document in his interview with Drake. This led to him getting fired and Anne leaving him. Then he just kinda was in the dumps trying to get any job he could, that was until a life foundation employee came to him as a whistleblower and helped him break into the life foundation building. There Eddie met his soulmate, the Venom symbiote.

A lobster restaurant meltdown and symbiote and ceo combo turned to cinder later these two loveable losers became Venom, or the Lethal Protector depending on which of the two you ask. 

Black Adam

“Tell Them the Man In Black Sent You”

Living in Khandaq was hard for Teth-Adam who was but a merely slave under the rule of an evil dictator, but this might have been for naught as he was chosen by The Wizard to gain the powers of 6 Egyptian Gods, and with this power he was able to kill the king and save Khandaq. At least that’s what the Legend of Black Adam would have you believe 

In reality it was Teth-Adam’s son who gained the powers of Black Adam but the king was jealous and wanted the power for himself, so he attempted to kill all of his family which included Teth-Adam but his son couldn’t stand that so he gifted his power of Black Adam to Teth-Adam, and then he got shot to death by The king’s assassins. Riddled with guilt Black Adam murdered everyone who worked for The King and that got himself sealed in a rock for eternity. 

But because of intergangs rule over Khandaq 3 explorers open the seal and free Black Adam from his prison, and now he’s free to exert his power over everybody who stands in his way.

-A symbiote souped up Eddie is able to crack concrete with ease (Venom 37:14)

-Kick down a metal door (Venom 37:23)

-Burst through metal wire (Venom 37:30)

Fellow symbiote souped up individuals also have

-Thrown someone a great distance

-Uppercut somebody a great distance….

-Venom can causally bite people’s head off (Venom 59:10)

-Casually demolished cars and concrete just by moving around (Venom 59:16)

-Scales to Carnage who busted through a concrete wall (Venom 2 38:57)

-Throwing a whole truck overboard (Venom 2 45:29)

-Crushed Frances’ containment cell (Venom 2 52:34)

Black Adam

-was able to throw someone a great distance away

-was able to punch someone very high in the air 

-was able to fully knock out Atom Smasher with just 1 punch who is 6 stories tall

-his lightning is powerful enough to turn a regular human into dust 

-he was able to destroy a giant castle as his first time being Black Adam

-he caused this big explosion with his lightning 

-was able to rip Sabaac in half, who was powerful enough to completely pierce the clouds and make the sky glow red with hellfire

Speed

Venom

-A symbiote souped up Eddie potentially dodged bullets (Venom 52:43)

-Venom swam from the city al the way to a buoy in about 5 seconds (Venom 59:25-59:30)  

-Scales to Carnage who spinned  fast enough to cause a mini whirl (Venom 2 38:35) 

Black Adam

-is easily able to catch and deflect bullets

-even able to dodge full AR Rounds from a military 

-moves so fast time looks slowed down 

-can dodge rockets fired at him from a rocket launcher

-could catch rockets fired at him from a rocket launcher 

-would reasonably scale to Hawkman who was able to block Black Adam’s lightning

Durability

Venom

-At the start of the movie, the symbiote survives a spacecraft’s crash landing (Venom 1:03)

-A symbiote souped up Eddie survived running into a tree log so hard it shattered (Venom 37:56)

-Also survived getting tased (Venom 51:22)

-Survived crashing through windows (Venom 52:45) (Venom 52:50)

-Survived getting hit by a car (Venom 58:18)

Fellow symbiote souped up individuals have survived

-Throwing themselves out a window

-...and also survive said uppercut 

-Venom survives a direct shotgun blast (Venom 59:07)

Black Adam

-can tank missiles fired at him from an attack helicopter 

-and survive the resulting crash from 2 after he threw one of them at that other

Could tank attacks from full power Sabaac who could do the feat mentioned in strength.

-Evaded capture by multiple armed forces

-Figured out where Kasady hid the bodies

Black Adam

-was able to fight the Justice Society of America which includes Dr. Fate and Hawkman

-was able to kill Sabaac with Hawkman’s help

-completely killed 6 out of the 7 wizards

-was able to free Khandaq from the Intergang invaders

-is so powerful Amanda Waller had to send Superman to fight him 

-is stated that “nobody on earth” could stop him

-got in every fucking crossover game imaginable 

Hax, Abilities, and Techniques

Venom

Symbiote biology and other fun things

-Can stretch and stick onto multiple types of surfaces 

-Sprout out tentacles

-Can fire spikes (Venom 16:55) 

-Can take over both corpses and living bodies (Venom 17:19)

-Change its weight (Venom 1:21:39)

-Also some sort of spider sense given it warned Eddie about opening the door before anyone knocked on it, and all the while not even knowing who was even about to knock (Venom 50:33)

-Absorb bullets (Venom 52:58) (Venom 1:06:02)

-Go through vents (Venom 1:13:37)

-Can heal Eddie when he turns into Venom (Venom 58:45) (Venom 59:33)

Even healing him from fatal implement (Venom 1:25:25) 

-Can read the mind’s of people it takes over (Venom 1:00:24)

-Has a photographic memory, being able to perfectly replicate Cletus’ wall scribble (Venom 2 10:17)

-The symbiote (as a hivemind) traveled 80-billion light years across multiple universes and Eddie’s symbiote has access to all of that information (Venom 2 1:27:20)

-Exhibits excellent on the fly thinking during this chase scene

-In the Eminem music video, the symbiote displays not only the property of being to be passed on by touch, but also forces the infected to sing “Venom” until they either pass it onto someone accidentally or till they turn into Eminem (who at the end of the song is shown to be venom)

Venom

-Symbiotes need to bond with a respiratory host to survive in oxygen rich environments, though it can not bond with just any host (Venom 17:50) 

For those wondering what a symbiote does to a incompatible host (Venom 26:57)

-Symbiotes also need to eat much more regularly than humans do as they can not go a substantial amount of time without eating brains or chocolate 

-Loud noises (Venom 44:45), especially those in the 4,000 to 6,000 hertz range (Venom 46:25), as they not only harm the symbiote but also spits it from their host (Venom 1:12:14)

-Fire (Venom 1:09:13)

-Without the symbiote Eddie is just kinda of a guy who could hit hard

-Like all couples Venom and Eddie have their disagreements 

-Doesn’t understand mandarin 

Black Adam

-Eternium is a viable way to damage him 

-Never Uses a Door, always walks through the wall 

-Didn’t Fight Shazam

-Didn’t Fight Superman

- Couldn’t save The DCEU

Dear Warner and Sony

Bob was the one to pirate Venom (2018) and Venom: Let There Be Carnage I watched Black Adam Legally on HBO Max- Shimish

Man I hope Sony isn’t planning to release a 3rd Venom movie called “Venom: The Last Dance” on October 25th of this year thus making this blog’s research outdated which we probably could’ve avoided by being patient but we aren’t waiting till near the end of this year to do Sonyverse Venom vs DCEU Black Adam of all things

You know, after watching both venom movies back to back in a single day I have came to 2 conclusions

1. Yeah makes sense why a section of the first movie’s wikipedia article is about Eddie and Venom shipping

2. If you showed someone the venom movies followed by Morbius and the Venom music video they would probably be begging you to let them free but also they would more likely call the music video canon to Venom than they would call Morbius canon

However the conclusion I’m supposed to is based off who would win between these two anti heroes

Now on one hand Eddie could use the symbiote to take over Adam and either win off that or fuck up Adam’s body beyond repair, however Adam has this nifty thing called “stat stomping” where he was just more stronger and faster than Venom to where it would be questionable as to rather or not the symbiote could fuck up Adam’s body or just fail trying. Yeah that’s all I really have to say, Adam just kinda wins via taking the stat trinity handily

I’m adamant that after this is over Kahndaq’s champion will celebrate beating New York’s lethal protector with a feast where he will venom-nom-nom on the food

God that pun makes me want to end it all

-with almost 5 hours of our lives wasted on these at best 6/10 movies let’s see who wins this battle 

Black Adam negative diff lol

Black Adam just needs to land one lightning blast at Venom and he’s dead 

Even if venom had access to Black Adam’s very specific weakness it isn’t an instant win it’s just kinda more effective meanwhile Black Adam’s main power is one of Venom’s Main weaknesses

Venom has exactly one way to win this battle and it is never gonna work for 2 reasons 

1.

Black Adam is much faster 

2.

Black Adam’s main style of fighting in the movie is to shoot lightning at a range or use his flight to shoot lightning blasts 

plus if we have Black Adam lose we could get sued by The Rock for making him lose a fight and we really don’t want that, so it’s a good thing Black Adam easily wins 

The winner is Black Adam
